Tulip Soup - Lessons Learned

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Tulip Soup has had a rocky start. There are several reasons for this and I won't delve into them completely but quite a few things that we had hoped and planned to happen, didn't work out and during that time myself and my family were plagued with quite a bit of uncertainty and indecision and faced many challenges and hard choices.

To those of you who were our first customers, a very sincere thank you for giving us a chance to create something special for you. I hope that you are genuinely pleased with your items and if you are not I welcome your candid feedback and constructive criticism (unless it's on turn-around time since I'm well aware of my short falls in that area.)

To those of you who unfortunately experienced delays, communication problems, etc due to the problems mentioned above - I can only offer my sincerest apologies which really doesn't feel like enough. I've made efforts to compensate for these delays and I will be contacting each one of you again personally.

I will tell you all that I have learned from my mistakes. The Lullabies and Mudpies event in Pace was the first event of that kind that I have participated in with Tulip Soup and I set unrealistic expectations for myself and passed those along to my customers creating quite a bit of disappointment - disappointment with myself most of all. Again, I'm sorry for this.

I publicly apologize to Carla, Holli, and Dawn for the problems. I know that my actions do not reflect well on the Lullabies and Mudpies event and I'm very sorry for that.
